EVERLAND elects Mowgli, a magnificent Australian Shepherd Dog

In January 2018, EVERLAND premium petfood chooses Mowgli, a young Australian Shepherd (1 year old at the time of his election) to become the new face of the brand. Among more than 1600 participants on Facebook, Mowgli was unanimously chosen by the jury (the brand’s experts).

Mowgli then won 1 year’s food (M&L Adult Dog kibbles) and a photo shoot by a professional.

Mowgli’s character traits

Where does Mowgli come from, his first steps at home… :

Maude, Mowgli’s owner : “Mowgli comes from a breeding farm in the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park towards Le Puy en Velay. We went to pick him up on 9 December 2016. It was our Christmas present !

He comes from a litter of 11 puppies.

We had initially reserved another dog in the photo, but the breeder was mistaken and reserved Mowgli for us (Memphis is his original name). Once on site we were able to see the two dogs and were finally delighted with this mistake: the dog initially reserved, although magnificent, was the last of the litter, bottle-fed, he was easily half the size of Mowgli! It should be noted that Mowgli was bigger than ALL his siblings.

3h30 drive home, he cried a little but wisely. When he arrived home he was very happy, it took us 3 days to find a name for him. He only cried for 10 minutes the first two nights.

The first two nights we had tried to confine him to the kitchen (open kitchen) using piles of cardboard and chairs to avoid accidents on the floor . It didn’t take him more than a few minutes to regain his freedom and take possession of his new home, the third night we gave up the idea.

He was clean in a month with only one poo in the house…”

A close marketing collaboration between Mowgli and EVERLAND.

As you can see from the pictures above, Mowgli is very photogenic. It was obvious for the EVERLAND teams that Mowgli had to appear on the official communication supports of the brand (leaflets, website, banners, POS…). With the permission of Maude, Mowgli’s mistress, many sales tools were made with the photos of this magnificent Australian Shepherd. A brand close to its consumers? Yes ! EVERLAND did not lie to you. To go even further, in 2021, a photo of Mowgli was again used to illustrate the new packaging of the M&L Adult Dog Everland bag.
