Nawak

Renaud has been practicing canicross with his Border Collie for over a year.

Discover the testimony of Renaud, owner of Nawak, canicross racer (14 October 2019) :

I started canicross about 4 years ago with Nawak. Unfortunately several consecutive injuries have slowed me down. I started again about 1 year ago with the Dirty Paws 41 club and have already participated in several competitions (some of which ended in injury), the latest being: solidog’run (4300m) 18min13 (32nd out of 121) Regional Trophy of Azay-sur-Cher (6000m): 26min57 (40th out of 132). We train twice with the club and once or twice a week together. Recently, I’ve just put my dog Lylou in the race but it’s more complicated… This weekend it will be a canicross in Chambon-la-Forêt. The 5 km for Nawak and the 3 km for Lylou! We don’t really have any rituals, but we both enjoy running, and this can be seen in our relationship, which is almost fusional at the moment. We like to run everywhere as long as it’s not on tarmac.

Nawak is fed with : ADULT DOG | MEDIUM & LARGE BREED | DUCK

Want to know more about Nawak?

Nawak is a 6 year old Border Collie. Very (or too) cuddly, as his owner Renaud would say. Like any self-respecting Border Collie he is hyperactive and when he does something he does it thoroughly. He loves to run in the forest (in canicross or free) or to let off steam with Lylou (the other dog of the family) but hates to rest.

That said, a nap with Dad on the sofa is not to be refused… !

He loves to cuddle and always comes to his owner to be taken care of. Because yes, behind this great sportsman there is a dog who has very little confidence in himself and always needs to be reassured. The canicross helps a lot. What more can I say? Except that he is a true sportsman who will do anything to please his owners!
